We would also like to invite you to make a trip soon..... We would love to be able to add your photo to this page!
Here's my "fish-of-a-lifetime"! A 54.5" x 30"...Unbelievable fish!! Caught & released on LOTW.

Here's a nice Northwoods tiger musky caught row trolling...

Wanted to share this totally cool wildlife photo Denny Erardi sent me. It's an immature golden eagle scrapping with a fox over a deer carcass. The interesting looking black and white birds are magpies.
The 2006 Season was a good one for row trolling!
Bob Dekker of Green Bay lifts a fat 49" musky caught and released row trolling!
Huge walleyes hit row trolled musky plugs, too. Not a bad incidental catch... New row troller Darrin Bornemann is sold on this technique!

Sarah Johnson enjoyed a day of rowing, too.
Craig Niermann says "cheese" with another fine musky caught and released row trolling!
This is a fantastic way to fish late in the season!
Where to find a row trolling boat? Heckel's Marina & Tom Gelb have combined efforts to design and manufacture this beauty. Email me for all the details! info@ablondandherboat.com

I'm happy to announce that I'm now writing for Esox Angler Magazine! (Shown here with EA Pres Pete Maina)Starting this summer, expect to see feature articles and A Blond and Her Boat column! This is a fantastic publication...full of technical info on catching muskies, pike, and walleyes. Visit www.esoxangler.com to subscribe. And, ladies...check out their on-line catalog of tee shirts, denim shirts, and sweatshirts that are custom tailored to fit the female angler.
UNUSUAL TACTICS: Pete Maina caught this big musky using an "oil weighted crankbait." This technique, and other off-the wall tactics will be explained in my seminar "Unusual Tactics." See Events Page for sport show and seminar listing.
My friend, Linda Rice, with a dandy Northern Pike.
My friend, Collette Anderson, braved a cold November day to CPR this nice 41"er. Husband Dale was the "net man." The fish was caught on a Bulldawg. Guys, take note of the fabulous smiles the ladies always sport!
Seasoned Musky Veteran Kady Gealow proves you're never to young to start hunting muskies!
Want the story on this GARGANTUAN Northern Pike (and others like it!)? Check out The Next Bite/Esox Angler's Winter 06/07 issue for all the details and awesome photos.

The Outdoor Women's Group recently met to hike Trampler's Trail near Star Lake. Afterwards, they enjoyed making hotdogs, s'mores, and other goodies around the campfire. The group meets the first Sunday of each month (and sometimes extra outings are planned) for an outdoor-related outing...hiking, fishing, biking, canoeing, skiing, etc. in the Vilas and Oneida counties area. February's event will be an ice fishing and hike/snowshoe outing on Lac Vieux Desert (Land O Lakes WI). Anyone interested in participating, please contact Norma Yaeger at: (715) 477-1984. We welcome guests visiting the Northwoods.
What do I do all winter? Visit my Events page....I speak at various sportshows and for club meetings.
One of the slides from my "Unusual Tactics" seminar...Carrie Grove hoists a HUGE 53" pig! My friends and fellow guides Gregg Thomas and Tony Grant have discovered that color matters-- even at night! This fish was caught on a PINK Cowgirl.
Stand in line, boys. Here's my all-time favorite customer: Henry Frankel. At 89 years young, Hank is still throwing musky plugs. This is his modified version of a "bird's nest" Hank's favorite lure: the Mepps Minnow! Man, I hope I'm still able to chase 'skies at age 89...what a role model!
I adhere to total catch and release in my boat and advocate graphite replicas for "trophy fish." Give someone else a chance to catch their fish-of-a-lifetime!
This photo was sent to me several times with conflicting "fish stories." The last sender remarked that this HUGE sturgeon was caught on the Williamette River below Oregon City. It was 11'1" and had a 56" girth! It supposedly took 6 1/2 hours to land... Oh, and 4 dozen beers to quench the thirst of the 4 guys reeling her in...

Big smiles all the way around...congrats to musky huntresses Heather and Tam!
I recently penned an article for Paddler magazine on musky fishing out of a kayak (shown here is angler and PA guide Jim Bortz.) To learn more about fishing from kayaks, canoes, and row trolling boats: 1. Visit the world's largest paddlesport show "Canoecopia" in Madison WI March 9-11 (I'm speaking on row trolling on Sunday the 11th) 2. Sign up for one of our group trips..."Women Canoe, Catch Fish, Campfire and Cookout" or "Couples Canoe, Catch Fish, Campfire and Cookout" Full details on Women on the Water page
My friend, Kathy Augustine, shows us how it's done...
Shimano's "Reel Man" Rob Myers and I touting our wares. I will soon be adding a complete recommended gear list to my site. This list will detail rods/reels/line/leaders/lures/nets, etc. that are "female-friendly."
John...did you catch this 'skie on a WEAGLE or lightly twitching a REEF HAWG?
Muskie Inc's Between the Lakes chapter (Sheboygan, WI) hosts a fantastic youth outing! They have put together an effective program and are willing to share the outline with any interested parties. For more details, contact me--I'll put you in touch with them! Here, Mike Laack helped Clint Gumieny hoist up a 39.5" musky.
Proud husband John Kunkle sent me a couple of photos of his wife, Karla, holding big northerns and big muskies. Beautiful fish (and gal!) Here's a couple of sidebars:
1. John apologized for the vertical hold and says they know better now. Viewers, please ALWAYS hold a fish horizontally and support its belly! 2. John says his wife is "tired of guys trips." SUBTLE HINT fellas...if you are lucky enough to have a wife who likes to fish: join us for one of our couples trips or sign your wife up for one of our all-women's fishing trips.
3. John says he loves my site because "It's great seeing girls with big fish!" I agree...
Want to hook your wife on fishing? Sign her up for our "Women Bassin" School. Held in Eagle River on July 18-21, we'll teach boating basics and tie into some scrappy smallies and largemouths. Bass fishing is AWESOME in the Northwoods. Check out the Women on the Water page for full trip details.
Yvette Fleming with a nice bluegill caught while ice fishing with Superior's Reel Women (SRW). SRW is a group of female anglers in the Washburn/Ashland WI area. The ladies fly fish, spin & baitcast from canoes and powerboats, wade fish, and ice fish!

My friend, Muskie Mike, used one of his very own "trolling secrets" to catch this monster 54" Canadian musky on Aug 10th... bluebird skies, high pressure, sweltering temps in the low 90's...hee hee hee
Smaller pike becoming part of the food chain.
